The Auto TWA

The auto TWA maintains a constant angle to the wind.

The boat's heading is updated each time the wind angle changes. Be very careful in areas close to low or high pressure areas: it is possible that your boat will change direction very quickly because the wind direction changes very quickly as well.

When the auto TWA is activated, you will see an ESTIMATE of your future route on the game map. This layout allows you to plan your strategy for the next few hours, however, this representation is only indicative and does not guarantee that your boat will follow this route EXACTLY.

The use of the auto TWA is not recommended for coastal navigation. When you are close to the coast, waypoints are a better choice because they are more geographically accurate.
