A waypoint is a "waypoint" or turning point.
It is a point on the route to be reached where a change of course must take place.
To start using waypoints, click on the Expert menu at the bottom right of your screen, then on the Waypoints button (the center button).
Then click on the "+" to add a waypoint (you can have a maximum of 9 waypoints active at any time).
Waypoints are represented in the game by a small red spherical buoy, topped by a small flag.
In this screenshot, 2 waypoints are activated. The first (W1) is selected, and information about this waypoint is displayed on the left of your screen.
- Position: the exact coordinates of the selected waypoint
- Direction: the heading of your boat, which will sail in a straight line to reach the selected waypoint
- Distance: the distance separating your boat from the selected waypoint
- Time to reach: the time remaining before your boat reaches the selected waypoint
If you wish to adjust the position of your waypoint, click and drag the W1 circle below the waypoint.
In the top left-hand corner, this icon appears:
It allows you to delete the waypoint. You can delete a waypoint that has already been set. Click on it, then click again to confirm. You will then see this message:
As mentioned above, deleting a waypoint will automatically delete all subsequent waypoints.
If you simply wish to change the position of a waypoint, you can do so by clicking on the W1 circle below the waypoint.
⚠️ If you are navigating using the course programmer, it will not be possible to activate waypoints at the same time. You will need to delete your settings before you can activate one or more waypoints to set your course.
