A waypoint is a set of coordinates, a turning point.
It is a location on your path where a change of course must take place.
To start using waypoints, click the Expert buttons located at the bottom right of your screen, then the Waypoints button (the middle one).
Then click the + button to add a waypoint. You can have up to 9 active waypoints at all times.
Waypoints are marked in game by a small red spherical buoy, topped by a small flag.
On the screenshot above, you can see that 2 waypoints are activated. The first one (W1) is selected, and you can see information about this waypoint on the left side of your screen.
- Position: the exact coordinates of the selected waypoint
- Heading: your boat heading as it will sail towards the selected waypoint in a straight line
- Distance: the distance between your boat and the selected waypoint
- Reached in: the time left before your boat reaches the selected waypoint
If you want to adjust the position of your waypoint, simply click the W1 circle you see under the waypoint, and move it around.
In the top left corner of the screesnhot above, you can see this icon:
Clicking this icon allows you to delete the selected waypoint. Click it, then click again to confirm the deletion. You will see this message:
As shown above, removing a waypoint will automatically remove the waypoints that follow.
If you just wish to move a waypoint around, you can do so by clicking the corresponding W1 (or W2, etc.) circle located under the waypoint you want to move around.
