The black screen issue

A black screen when the game starts on a computer almost always comes from the way your browser uses the graphics card.

What to check, in this order

1. Graphics acceleration must be enabled in your browser settings, under System. It is what makes the game's 3D display possible. Note: switching that option off no longer fixes black screens the way it once did, it now stops the game from starting at all.
2. Update your graphics card drivers, then restart the browser completely.
3. Try another browser. If the game displays elsewhere, the setting to fix is indeed in your usual browser.
