An advert blocks the game

On Virtual Regatta Offshore an advert never appears on its own: you ask for one to get a benefit, extra automatic sail time, extra waypoints or programmed turns, or access to the radar, when you sail without the Full Pack or a VIP subscription. On rare occasions that advert freezes or closes the game.

First of all, your boat keeps going

A frozen game does not stop your boat. It carries on with the last instructions you left, heading, sails and programmed turns included. You lose neither your position nor your race while you restart.

Unblocking the game

• On mobile or tablet, close the app completely, then start it again. Going back to your phone's home screen is not enough.
• In a browser, reload the page. If the screen stays frozen, close the tab and open the game again.
• While you are at it, check that your app is up to date.

Getting the benefit

Once the game has restarted, ask for the advert again: in most cases another advert is served and the benefit is granted normally.

If the advert freezes on every attempt, report it to us. That is what lets us have the faulty creative pulled by the network, and spares other players the same problem. Please include:

• the brand or product shown in the advert, that is what identifies it;
• the approximate date and time;
• your device and system, Android, iOS or browser;
• the benefit you asked for when it froze: auto sails, waypoints, programmed turn or radar;
• a screenshot if you managed to take one.

Why we need the advertiser's name

Adverts do not come from us: they are served by partner networks that renew their creatives constantly. We cannot pull an advert we are unable to identify. The name of the brand on screen is therefore the most useful part of your report, far more than a description of the frozen screen.

To stop seeing adverts

The benefits offered through adverts are included as standard in the Full Pack options and in the VIP subscription: with either one you no longer need to watch an advert to get them.
